Texas Traditions

texas traditions

After a ten year hiatus, this gourmet food company wanted a fresh start based on their old material, which consisted of jar style, labels, packaging, POP displays, catalogues, trade show displays and web site.

Mediaville assessed the original work and customer demographics and compiled new data for more current demographics and price points, also taking into account the level of sophistication of customers.

Texas Traditions is the official preservation company for Texas culinary heritage, and it was and is important to the president to ensure a feeling of “eating around the table at home with family”, throughout the new brand. Also important, was that the owner became a part of the branding process. She believes very much in the product and keeping culinary traditions alive in the home.

We developed a brand strategy which entailed a complete overhaul of current visuals and packaging. Most importantly, we brought forth the “modern country kitchen” style, which was the cornerstone for all the other marketing materials. We then redesigned the logo, the labels, chose the most effective jars to match the labels (taking into account the ease of use in the kitchen), and developed the packaging for shipment of goods.

Then one morning, at 4:00 a.m. we drove to a location in rural Texas for the day-long photo shoot. We styled and art directed the shoot, with spectacular results. These photos are the focal point in both the catalogues and the web site.

To finish out the branding process, Mediaville worked directly with the owner to develop trade show displays and permanent displays at market.
